Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), painter, draughtsman and engraver, is one of Japan's greatest and most influential artists.
He renewed the art of engraving with his famous works as "Blue Fuji" part of a series of prints entitled Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji published between 1831 and 1833.
