Goddess Bastet is associated with the fertility and the protection of the home. Represented by a woman with a cat head or a cat, her cult develops in the 1st millennium BC. Many small figurines of the goddess, most often in bronze, are then deposited in the temples by the faithful wishing to attract her favors.
