Mould ‘Polar Bear’
The bear is a statue by the sculptor animal François Pompon (1855-1933). Pompon opted for the simplification of the forms in his sculptures from 1905. He smoothed surfaces and rid its animal representations of all frills. When a model of the bear appeared at the Salon d’Automne in 1922, the work decided by its modernism on the sculpture inherited from the nineteenth century. The statue is located at the Musée d’Orsay since 1986.
Art, craft and play become natural to your child with this kit. First children learn how to mould the bear, then they can paint it, and finally read the story of the figurine.
