Compass Urania Propitia

Compass Urania Propitia is homage to pioneering women astronomers. “Urania Propitia”, the title of Maria Cunitz’s book became her nickname, thanks to her outstanding scientific achievements: “she who is closest to the muse of Astronomy”.

Urania Propitia was made in the Astronomical compendia style. It followed the original pieces in their delicate engraving and gilt, symbols of luxury of items of ornament and display for an aristocratic clientele.
